BIDVEST Car Rental at Johannesburg Airport

Upon your arrival at O.R. While the official minimum age for renting a car with Bidvest is 21 drivers between 18-20 years of age might be approved under certain conditions and at the discretion of Bidvest.

All drivers must provide a valid form of identification and a valid unendorsed driver’s license at the time of collecting the vehicle. The license has to be in English and contain a photograph otherwise an International Driving License or an official translation by a consulate or embassy must be provided at the time of rental.

International renters and drivers are required to provide a valid passport in the same name as the driver’s license.

Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement at an additional fee.

Speaking on your cell phone/mobile phone while driving is illegal in South Africa and it is compulsory to wear a seat belt as well as carrying your driver’s license while operating the vehicle.
