Helpful information when renting a Firefly vehicle at Johannesburg Airport

The required minimum age to rent a vehicle with Firefly at JNB is 18.

All renters must provide a valid and unendorsed local or international driver’s license at the time of rental collection as well as a credit card, both in their own name.

Only drivers who are named, and have signed, the rental agreement may drive the rented Firefly vehicle, meaning all drivers must meet the requirements and be present at the time of rental to provide the correct documentation. Additional drivers are subject to an additional fee.

South African law states that the driver must carry their valid driver’s license at all times when driving a vehicle. It also states that it is strictly forbidden to talk on the cell phone/mobile phone while driving and the seat belt must be worn at all times.

Returning your rented Firefly vehicle at Johannesburg Airport

When it is time to return the rental car to Firefly at Johannesburg Airport you can either do so with a full tank, as it was at the time of collection, or let Firefly do it for you at an additional cost.
