Helpful information when renting a Cabs Car Hire at Johannesburg Airport

In South Africa it is required by law to carry your driver’s license on you at all times while operating a vehicle. The license has to be in English and contain a photograph and if you are an international driver you also have to provide a passport in the same name. For driver’s licenses in another language than English a translation provided by a consulate or embassy has to be provided. International Driver’s licenses are also accepted.

It is not legal to talk on your mobile phone/cell phone while driving in South Africa and the seat belt has to be worn at all times while in the vehicle.

Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement at an additional fee when hiring a vehicle with Cabs Car Hire.

Returning your rented Cabs Car Hire vehicle at Johannesburg Airport

When it is time to drop off the car at the airport again please do so in the Drop and Go Area at the airport and a representative will meet you there. You can also choose to park in parkade 1 level 1 and put the keys and parking ticket in the boot/trunk of the car.
