Upon arriving at O.R. Helpful information when renting a Tempest vehicle at Johannesburg Airport

While Tempest has no minimum age requirement in order to rent a vehicle with them they do require that the renter holds a valid unendorsed driver’s license for a minimum of three years.

Renters are required to provide the reservation or booking number, their driver’s license, a valid credit card and a passport in their own name at the time of rental (if an international driver). If the license is not in English and with a photograph incorporated in it the renter is also required to provide either an international driving license or an official translation by a consulate or embassy.

According to South African laws the driver’s license has to be carried at all times while driving, the seat belt has to be worn at all times while in the vehicle and it is forbidden to speak on the cell phone/mobile phone while driving.

Returning the rented Tempest vehicle at Johannesburg Airport

You can choose to return the car with a full tank or let Tempest refuel it at an additional cost.
